Cadillac 7-Seat Crossover Cadillac is definitely going ahead with a 7-seat crossover vehicle. An Inside Line chat with GM’s Karl Stracke has revealed such plans. Before GM’s bankruptcy, rumours had hinted a vehicle of this nature would be based on the Lambda platform architecture currently used in cars like the Buick Enclave and the Chevrolet Traverse.
Not much more information was divulged but expectations place it with a face similar to the Cadillac XTS concept unveiled at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show and may still be based on the Lambda platform.
One possible engine is the 3.6-litre V6, but that does not stop the General from experimenting with turbo power. Competitors are already reaping the rewards of V8 power with V6 fuel efficiency from using smaller, more potent turbo engines.
